AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT FOR VOLVO TRUCKS CABIN AND SLEEPER – This filter fits most Volvo trucks from 2004 and newer. Volvo trucks with sleepers use two cabin filters – one for the front HVAC system and one in the rear sleeper compartment. These filters are compatible with both locations and it is recommended to change them regularly for optimal performance.

 

FILTER MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATION – For best results, replace both the front and rear sleeper air filters at the same time. This ensures consistent airflow, better HVAC performance, and improved in-cab air quality. Regular changes reduce dust, allergens, and debris inside the vehicle.

VOLVO VNL CABIN AIR FILTER LOCATION:

• Open the hood and locate the cabin air intake area near the passenger-side windshield cowl.
• Remove the plastic cover or panel (may be clipped or screwed in).
• You’ll see the cabin air filter housing.
• Remove the old filter — note the airflow direction arrow.
• Insert the new filter, making sure it’s seated correctly.
• Reattach the cover/panel.

Note: This is the primary filter that cleans air entering the front cabin through the HVAC system.

VOLVO VNL SLEEPER AIR FILTER LOCATION:

• Lift the lower sleeper bunk to access the under-bed storage area.
• On the left side, locate the HVAC access panel or filter cover.
• Remove the cover to reveal the sleeper air filter slot.
• Slide out the old filter and replace with a new one.

This rear filter improves air circulation and air quality in the sleeper compartment.
