Description

INTERNATIONAL TRUCK CABIN AND/OR SLEEPER AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT – This air filter is compatible with most International® models including ProStar, WorkStar, LoneStar, Durastar, TranStar, 4200, 4300, 4400, 4700, 5500i, 5600i, 7400, 7500, 7600, 7700, 8500, 8600, 9200i, 9900i, 9900ix. Some sleeper cabs may use 2 filters – one for the front cabin and another for the sleeper. Be sure to verify the filter part number currently installed on your truck before ordering.

 

FILTER MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATION – For best results, it is strongly recommended to change both the front cabin and sleeper air filters at the same time. Regular replacement ensures consistent air quality throughout the vehicle, reduces dust and allergens, supports optimal HVAC system performance, and helps prevent strain on your ventilation system. Routine filter changes are an important part of your truck’s overall maintenance.

 

INTERNATIONAL PROSTAR CABIN AIR FILTER TYPES:

• AF2426 – Front Cabin Filter: Located under the passenger-side dashboard, filters air entering the driver/front passenger area.
• AF2486 – Rear Sleeper Filter: Used in sleeper cabs, typically installed behind interior sleeper panels to clean air in the sleeper area.

PROSTAR FRONT CABIN FILTER LOCATION (AF2426):

• Go to the passenger side of the truck.
• Look under the dash behind or near the kick panel.
• Locate a black plastic cover secured with clips or screws.
• Remove the cover to access the cabin air filter tray.
• Slide out the old filter and insert the new one, following the airflow arrow.

Note: Older ProStar models may not come with a cabin filter by default. Confirm the presence of a filter housing before ordering.
